The MAB Model A is a semi automatic pistol with a calibre of 6.35 mm (.25 ACP), made. The serial numbers of these pieces are between 107.900 and 109.240. An old MAB Model A with internal parts missing. The MAB Model A is a pocket pistol in 6.35 mm (.25 ACP ) caliber, made in France. MAB stands for Manufacture d'armes de Bayonne.
Look under 'MAB' and it says to look under the 'French military heading.' Sure enough, there is is. Re the above, I have never seen one in.380; could they have been made post-GCA '68 for U.S. Both the French police model and the German ones were in.32 ACP, the latter would not have been in.380 because.380 ammo was not in the German military/police supply system. FWIW, I note a couple of errors in that section.
The Model 1935A was not blued, it was black enameled, and I have never seen one with wooden grips, checkered or otherwise. The Model 1935S was never made in.32 ACP or.380 ACP, it was made only in 7.65 French Long. It was blued, not enameled. The Model 1935A is, to my mind, one of the neatest looking and nicest pistols to hold that I have ever seen, almost like some French wo., sorry, that is off topic. Copy of explanations given by the director of the MAB about the serial numbers of the MAB pistols, periods of production, characteristics of the spare parts at different times, date:.

I have a cool wife. The gun market over there seemed a little slow. There was some good deals, but like any other show you have to look dig them out. I was only on the floor for about 5 hours. Ammo and reloading supplies seemed reasonable.

I saw some of the big guys selling 1000 rounds of 9mm reloads for like $155. I did not pay attention to modern guns or did not go to the SAR building.
This is my second time there and have bought from about 10 different people. I have only been turned away once for being a CA buyer. I found a nice Russian SKS from a guy walking the floor for $400. He did not feel comfortable selling to me. So he walked. I was like what ever. I had no problem finding enough guns to spend all my money.
I will be going next year for sure. I have a suggestion for anybody who sets up at the show. They should contact the promoter and have them print out flyers to all the table holders explaining CA C&R out of state purchase laws. The easier they make it us to buy guns over there the better the show will be. I ran into a lot of CA buyers there. I am sure a large percentage of C&R guns are going back to CA.
